 Analysis & Feelings

The story felt spooky but also funny and clever. I liked how Washington Irving mixed ghost stories with real-life jealousy and rivalry. It kept me guessing – was the Headless Horseman a real ghost, or just Brom Bones in disguise? I felt sorry for Ichabod, but also found his fear kind of funny. The ending was mysterious and made me think about how stories and legends grow over time. It’s a great mix of scary and silly.
